Austria and Germany – Inn’s Cycle Path

Total kilometers biked: 508 km

Days biked: 4 days biking

Road conditions: unbelievable bike path/route (Inn’s Cycle Path) which followed river banks, mountain roads, fields, etc., combination of dirt and sealed roads; we actually followed the path backwards (going uphill most of the time), but it paid off when we went down hill for 70 km into Italy and down Maloja Pass

Weather: combination of overcast and sunny days; cold, spitting rain in the Tirol area of Austria, great overall

Food & Water:
Food: easily accessible, but expensive, great pizza shop in Innsbruck, Austria

Water: readily available, stores often filled our bottles from the tap

Sleeping:
Camping in wild: 100% of time

Campgrounds: none

Alternate transportation: none

Maps Used: We bought an Inn’s Cycle Path map from a bookstore at the start of the path in Passau, Germany.  Map made by Kompass entitled: Radtourenkarte 148
Inntal-Radweg, Maloja-Passau
1:125,000

Highlights:  Tirol region of Austria was incredible; the bike route itself was amazing, weaving between mountain roads, farmland, small towns.
